El consejero de Industria y Tecnología, José Manuel Díaz-Salazar, hizo hoy un llamamiento a los castellano-manchegos para que se incorporen a la sociedad de la innovación y el conocimiento porque ‘en el siglo XXI, el uso de Internet no es una recomendación, sino que es una estricta obligación’.
Así lo puso de manifiesto hoy el titular de Industria y Tecnología durante el acto celebrado en Toledo para conmemorar el Día Mundial de Internet, donde destacó la necesidad de seguir insistiendo en la importancia que tienen las nuevas tecnologías para hacer ciudadanos capaces en el siglo XXI y empresas más competitivas.
Aunque en estos últimos cuatro años -dijo Díaz-Salazar- en la comunidad autónoma se han dado ‘pasos de gigante’ en cuanto a la implantación de la banda ancha y el uso de Internet, más de la mitad de los castellano-manchegos no utilizan esta herramienta de información y comunicación.
Porque, según los últimos datos de que dispone la consejería, del pasado mes de marzo, el 42% de la población de Castilla-La Mancha utiliza habitualmente Internet, porcentaje que se eleva hasta el 94% si hablamos de empresas.
El consejero insistió en animar a ese otro 58% de la población de la región que no usa Internet para ir ‘tejiendo redes de sensibilización y hacer comprender que nuestro futuro depende del uso correcto de las nuevas tecnologías’.
Según Díaz-Salazar, cuando se pregunta a las personas por qué no utilizan la red de Internet, no responden que por problemas de conexión o dificultades en el acceso, sino porque no lo consideran útil y necesario, una percepción que hay que cambiar, a su juicio.
Tras recordar los avances logrados con la firma, en 2005, del Pacto por el Desarrollo y la Competitividad, el consejero de Industria y Tecnología destacó que ‘no basta con crecer, sino que hay que crecer mejor’.
El reto para las autoridades regionales es que a la vuelta del verano el cien por cien de los ciudadanos de la región tengan posibilidad de usar teléfono móvil y conexión a Internet a través de banda ancha, porcentajes que hoy en día están en el 99 y 94 por ciento, respectivamente.
También destacó los esfuerzos que se están haciendo desde el Gobierno Regional para fomentar estas nuevas herramientas de la información y de la sociedad del conocimiento y en este sentido recalcó que Castilla-La Mancha dispone de la Red de Centros Públicos más extensa de entre las comunidades autónomas, un total de 728, en los que se han formado 150.000 personas en el uso de las nuevas tecnologías.
En el acto estuvo presente la presidenta de IBM para España y otros países del Área Mediterránea, Amparo Moraleda, a quien el consejero agradeció su presencia de forma especial por ser una de las ejecutivas más solicitadas, sobre todo en un día tan señalado como el de hoy.
Para Moraleda, el Día Mundial de Internet supone un homenaje a la creatividad y a la conectividad, una herramienta que potencia las neuronas, la capacidad creativa y el talento humano.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
